Awwwww….

Happy Summer!

This steamy summer has been full of camping, beach time, visiting with family and lots and lots of sessions. I’ve been having a blast traveling to parks to capture families and young newlyweds in this fleeting moment in their lives. It’s been great fun, and as always, a true blessing. Here are a few favs from a session a few weeks back.

more soon!

Lately Part 2

Reed proposed to Kristin in Book Hill Park (apparently quite nervously, as the story goes!), so logically, that’s where we did their engagement pictures. As soon as I met them, I was inspired by their look, which reminded me of a fresh take on 1970’s surfer kids cool. It’s hard to explain, but when I saw them in my LCD after the first few grabs, I knew where I was going for the rest of the session. This first frame I just loved so much and felt it best presented as a Polaroid. Now if I could only print it as such! Congratulations you guys!

Lately

Nine shoots, one vacation, one studio anniversary, a gallery show, a 15 hour workshop and more have left me a little breathless these last few weeks. Lots of grabs to share though – so let’s get posting! Here’s a few from Cardin’s 2nd birthday…super cute kids. Had to share the fun and creativity.

More tomorrow…

OneLight

A little over a week ago, I had the pleasure of hosting the DC leg of the OneLight Tour, created by Zack Arias. Zack is a nationally renowned music photographer (just google Music Photographer – and there you will find him).

The DC OneLight tour stop was a 15 hour workshop, held at Past Tense yoga studio, and in the streets of Mt. Pleasant, DC. 16 photographers, one legendary trainer, and three great models made for an extraordinary day. Here are a few favs from the day:

A million thanks to Bossa for hosting our pre-workshop mixer (and over 70 attendees!), Past Tense Yoga Studio for hosting the workshop (and canceling classes that day to support us), Sarah, Emma and Flow for modeling. Oh, and of course, thanks to Meg Arias and Andy Zipf, for their captivating music at the mixer, and Zack Arias, for sharing from his tremendous depth of knowledge and experience.

Stacey Vaeth Photography Gallery Show

Dear Clients and Friends of Stacey Vaeth Photography,
Many of you have worked with me at my shared studio space in Mt. Pleasant, DC. Some of you have inquired about purchase of the large canvas photographic prints hanging on the walls.
Well, this is your opportunity to see the studio if you haven’t already, mingle with other clients and guests, and place an auction bid for the studio prints (or make a sure-fire bet of ordering a copy).
All proceeds from the auction benefit a great organization.

This event commemorates the first year anniversary of this incredible yoga studio that we are so honored to be a part of.
So join us if you can!
Sincerely,
Stacey
